America’s Test Kitchen Healthy Family Cookbook giveaway!

ATK Healthy Family Cookbook

I’ve been enjoying my copy of The America’s Test Kitchen Healthy Family Cookbook from America’s Test Kitchen, but I don’t want to keep it all to myself – so I’m giving away a copy! To make things even sweeter, this book has been signed by Chris Kimball! I wish I could say that I had one for everyone, but I have only one copy to give away to a lucky reader. To read a full review of the book, check out this post.

To enter the contest, leave a comment with your favorite America’s Test Kitchen recipe – whether it was from Cook’s Illustrated, Cook’s Country or one of their many cookbooks – below. If you can’t choose just one, you can always try making the Everyday Cinnamon Rolls, which just might be an instant favorite as a lighter, healthier version of gooey cinnamon rolls! The contest ends tonight at midnight and the winner will be randomly selected from the entries. Don’t forget to fill in your e-mail on the comment form (it will not be public), as that is how I will contact the winner, and good luck!

Update: Comments are closed. Thanks for participating, everyone! Congrats to Debby of A Feast for the Eyes, who was chosen as the winner!

I love most of their recipes! I think my favorite is their triple-chocolate fudgy brownies, though. Maybe because I just made them on Friday. Yum!

I love ATK’s recipes (their “paid subscription only” website, not so much…) and would really enjoy this cookbook!! My favorite recipe, hands down, is their chocolate chip cookie recipe – works perfectly every time!

I made a recipe for “The Best French Onion Soup” from Cook’s Illustrated. What I especially liked about it was that most of the caramelizing of the onions was done in the oven. Therefore, my house did not smell like onions for the next three days. (Even though I like the smell of cooked onions, three days is pushing it.) The soup was delicious too.

My go-to recipe for when I have to take a dessert to an event is the low-fat carrot cake. It is so yummy, never fails, and is so much better than standard recipes. Most of the food I make anymore is from an ATK book.

My favorite ATK recipe is a toss-up. I absolutely adore the Chicken and Rice Pot Pie from the Dec/Jan. 2010 Cook’s Country, but their Chocolate Bundt cake is to die for.

Our favorite is the one minute salsa recipe. I know I make this about 8 times a month. It is easy and is the best recipe I have found for salsa.

Favorite recipe: chocolate chip cookies, June 2009 Cook’s Illustrated I think. Best cookie recipe ever. I like subbing in toffee chips. Takes less time than the NYT cookies that inspired the article. I have made these cookies over a dozen times. One of the best issues ever, the tomato sauce recipein the same issue is also spectacular.

My favorite recipe is their Skillet Baked Ziti. Whenever I tell anyone about it or share the recipe I tell them not only is it the recipe of the year but it should be the recipe of the decade! It turns out aboslutely perfect everytime and no extra pot to wash since you don’t have to boil the pasta separately!!! Love it!!

I adore the Beef Pot Pie recipe from their various cookbooks. It is gorgeous, fairly easy, tastes good first, second, third day, great for company or weeknights. I’m in love with several other recipes as well, like the oven baked mac n’ cheese, the chocolate chip cookies, the chicken tikka masala, basically anything I try works out great!
