I’ve been enjoying my copy of The America’s Test Kitchen Healthy Family Cookbook from America’s Test Kitchen, but I don’t want to keep it all to myself – so I’m giving away a copy! To make things even sweeter, this book has been signed by Chris Kimball! I wish I could say that I had one for everyone, but I have only one copy to give away to a lucky reader. To read a full review of the book, check out this post.
To enter the contest, leave a comment with your favorite America’s Test Kitchen recipe – whether it was from Cook’s Illustrated, Cook’s Country or one of their many cookbooks – below. If you can’t choose just one, you can always try making the Everyday Cinnamon Rolls, which just might be an instant favorite as a lighter, healthier version of gooey cinnamon rolls! The contest ends tonight at midnight and the winner will be randomly selected from the entries. Don’t forget to fill in your e-mail on the comment form (it will not be public), as that is how I will contact the winner, and good luck!
Update: Comments are closed. Thanks for participating, everyone! Congrats to Debby of A Feast for the Eyes, who was chosen as the winner!

ErinJanuary 17, 2011
I make their Best Drop Biscuits all the time. They’re seriously scrumptious.
JessicaJanuary 17, 2011
CI’s thin crust pizza recipe was our ray of light when we lived in an area where thick and chewy pizza crusts are the norm. We could recreate our favorite New Haven-style pizza at home!
LoriJanuary 17, 2011
I’m dying to try those Everyday Cinnamon Rolls–they don’t have eggs like many other recipes, so my kids who are allergic will love them!
ReginaJanuary 17, 2011
I absolutely LOVE The Pasta with sauteed Mushrooms and thyme from the CI website. It is unbelievable and has to be one of my favorite all time recipes.
JudithJanuary 17, 2011
‘Tunnel of Fudge Cake’, it takes a little time to make but turns out perfect everytime.

The Perfect Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies with browned butter is my favorite CI recipe. So good, it raised the bar on all chocolate chip cookies I’ve eaten since.
SourkrautJanuary 17, 2011
I haven’t made them yet but that recipe for lighter cinnamon rolls caught my eye. The ones I usually make contain about 300 pounds of butter so it’d be nice to have an alternative.
ChristalJanuary 17, 2011
I loved their Crunchy Potato Wedges.
LisAwayJanuary 17, 2011
I have the non-healthy version of the ATK Family Cookbook and I make lots of recipes out of it regularly. One of our favorites is the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. YUM!! (I’d LOVE to have a copy of this one!! I’m in Poland, but I’ll give a US address if I win. 🙂

After your post this morning I went looking for the book online to see how much it would cost me! I’m glad I decided to hold off a little bit. The recipe I make over and over with rave reviews is the ATK ground beef tacos. They are so much better than using the taco seasoning mix that comes in the little package.
CaSaundraJanuary 17, 2011
I love their recipe for runsas! They are meat filled buns–so good!
Lisa SavageJanuary 17, 2011
No-Knead bread is easy and yummy!
MandyJanuary 17, 2011
I watched PBS all day yesterday because they kept showing both shows, my favorite from yesterday was their baked ziti, going grocery shopping to get the ingredients to make it today!
LadyWildJanuary 17, 2011
I’ve made their rustic dinner rolls a few times. They store well in the freezer, taste amazing and are always a hit at dinner parties.
JulieJanuary 17, 2011
I can’t remember the exact name of the recipe, but I love making a pork tenderloin with a honey/rosemary wet rub that I saw from someone else’s food blog who referenced ATK as the source. It is one of the most delicious pork recipes I have ever eaten.
HallieJanuary 17, 2011
My husband and I love their sloppy joes and chocolate cake!
EricaRJanuary 17, 2011
Their barbeque recipes always look so good…especially enjoy the segments when they compare different packaged items to tell you the best ones. The cookbook looks great!
TriciaJanuary 17, 2011
For New Year’s, I made the beef stew from the red ATK Family cookbook. It was incredible – everything beef stew should be, and I actually looked forward to the leftovers!
TraceyJanuary 17, 2011
It’s hard to pick just one, but I made their triple-chocolate espresso brownies recently and they were pretty great. Fun giveaway – this book has been on my list for a while!
TriciaJanuary 17, 2011
The All-American Potato Salad from CI. Yum!
GinnyJanuary 17, 2011
I’ve made their burgers – was so intrigued by the idea of soaking white bread in milk! They turned out really tender and juicy. So good! The Chicken Tikka is also excellent.
Chris M.January 17, 2011
Cinnamon Rolls! Thanks.
AppleTreeJanuary 17, 2011

LOVE LOVE LOVE Cooks Illustrated! My fave recipe ever was a slow-roasted pot roast. I love all the research that goes behind recipes! They are truly no-fail. Having that cookbook would be a dream!!! Thanks for doing this give away!

wynneJanuary 17, 2011
I love so many it is hard to say which is the favorite. I just made the Molasses cookies yesterday. Beyond good! I also love CI chicken enchiladas served with the Spanish Rice. And the chocolate chip cookie recipe with the browned butter – the best ever. Sorry, I can’t choose a favorite.
KateJanuary 17, 2011

teacherstacyJanuary 17, 2011
I like the homemade ranch dressing – my favorite store brand has msg, so this is a better (healthier!) option 🙂
OwlchickJanuary 17, 2011
Their beef carbonnade recipe is marvelous. It introduced me to the amber version of O’Doul’s, which is actually pretty good for non-alcoholic beer.

There are so many! Our Tivo is filled with past episodes and we finally broke down and ordered the cookbook/DVD set! A few of my favorites are the Grilled Salmon with Lime-Jalapeno Glaze (works great on shrimp and chicken too!) and the Classic Macaroni and Cheese (great for potlucks!)
Thanks for the giveaway – you really can’t go wrong with recipes from any of their sites/shows!
KristiJanuary 17, 2011
Let’s see, steak au poive with brandied cream sauce. Or maybe their quick cinnamon buns (I shall have to try the lighter version). I’ve had great success with their pumpkin cheesecake recipe, and prime rib. And the deep-dish pizza recipe that uses a potato dough. And their cream biscuits. And I’ve adapted their scone recipe for a few other flavor varieties (mocha chip…mmmm…). Can I just quote the entire ATK Family Cookbook and the Perfect Recipe cookbooks? Oh, and the magazine?
Even if I don’t win this copy, I’ve already added the new Healthy Cookbook to my Amazon wish list…
Jillian AllenJanuary 17, 2011
