Easter is right around the corner, and holidays are such a great time for giveaways that I can’t resist doing one with an Easter theme to it. I’m giving away Wilton’s 3D Bunny Cake Pan and a set of oh-so-cute jellybean potholders. To win, simply leave a comment that mentions your favorite Easter dish (or other spring holiday dish if you don’t celebrate Easter) below! A winner will be selected randomly from the comments below and entries will close at 12 noon (PST) on Friday, March 26th. This leaves plenty of time for the pan to arrive before Easter so you can use it next weekend! Be sure to leave your e-mail address in the comment form (not in your comment) so that I can contact the winner for a mailing address.
There is a little bit of small print with this prize and that is the fact that this pan is not brand new and has been used by me a few times to test it out and bake up an Easter bunny cake. A post about the bunny cake will be coming up in the next day or two and you can double your chances of winning by looking out for that post and commenting on it, too. The cake pan will be all cleaned up and back in it’s box for mailing, ready to use when it arrives at your door.
And as for my favorite Easter dish? It’s hard to choose just one thing, but if pressed I’d have to say that deviled eggs are near the top of the list, followed by Peeps Cupcakes, which are a current favorite. Peep S’mores are very tasty, too, but I’d be hard pressed to call them an actual dish!
Update: The contest is now closed! Thanks for playing everyone. I can’t wait for Easter with all these great food ideas!

I love the whole meal! Ham, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, rolls, green beans… The list goes on! Oh, and a big piece of pie to finish it off!

Coconut cake is my favorite! 🙂

I saw this amazing scalloped pineapple recipe that I’ve been dying to make. So… that’s what I’m hoping for this year. 🙂
I could make it in BUNNY SHAPE. 🙂

I just made some amazing lime bars with key lime juice, zest, and a killer drizzle of lime juice/powdered sugar. Yum!

SophiaMarch 24, 2010
I like easter eggs 😀
KrystaMarch 25, 2010
Not necessarily a dish, but Cadbury Creme Eggs. Love love love them, and can only get them this time of year.
justinaMarch 25, 2010
My obvious choice would have to be my best friend’s deviled eggs with a bacon topping…and my second choice would have to be bacon…pretty much anything with bacon is a winner 😀
GertaMarch 25, 2010
My grandmother always made a layered dessert with graham crackers, bananas and a milk/powdered sugar glaze. Always my favorite!
CaSaundraMarch 25, 2010
Anything with ham and/or asparagus!
MelissaMarch 25, 2010
Deviled eggs, Cadbury eggs or one of my favorite cakes… Bake an Angel food cake in a 11×13 dish, then once it cools poke a bunch of holes in it with tooth picks and then make up some strawberry jello and pour it over the cake and place cut up strawberries on top so that they will be inside the jello. Let the jello set and then top with whip cream. Yummmo!

Honestly, it’s Cadbury Creme Eggs, but let’s just say it’s the honeybaked ham.
janeMarch 25, 2010
That would be so cute and sounds sooo good!
KatieMarch 25, 2010
My mom’s baked corn dish is by far my favorite Easter dish!
KaraMarch 25, 2010
I love carrot cake… not sure if that’s really an Easter dish but it feels like it!
CJMarch 25, 2010
We always have honeybaked ham for Easter, but carrot cake is probably my favorite!
RachelMarch 25, 2010
I don’t know if it’s really an Easter food or not, but my Mama always makes pound cake. It’s an old family recipe that I personally request every year.
DebbieMarch 25, 2010
I love the cheesy potatoes! They go so well with the ham.

Hot Cross Buns!
AmyMarch 25, 2010
Ooo, definitely hot cross buns!
DeanneMarch 25, 2010
Favorite easter dish- a lamb cake with coconut on the icing. Yumm! What a great giveaway 🙂
LaraMarch 25, 2010
My favorite thing to make is Carrot Cake during Easter. I love doing variations of it too, like carrot cake cheesecake, carrot cake cookies, etc. Second favorite thing is coconut cream pie! Yum!
Jackie CMarch 25, 2010
My favorite would be asparagus, prepared any way. Just as long as there is plenty of asparagus. A Cadbury Creme Egg for dessert will be fine.
CherishMarch 25, 2010
I suppose jelly beans don’t count as a “dish”, huh? I love Challah bread and miss the days when my uncle would make it for Easter.
Angelica RodriguezMarch 25, 2010
Deviled eggs! My mom makes the best.
JingerMarch 25, 2010
My mom always makes her special baked macaroni and cheese on Easter (and any other holiday if I’d request it). It’s most absolute favorite!
KristinaYellowMarch 25, 2010
I love making orange sweet rolls–yum!
AmyMarch 25, 2010
How do you choose just one? Ham smothered in mustard, brown sugar garlic mix that has been cooked all day so that it falls apart like a roast. Although I do indulge in one original cadbury egg every year. I wold love this pan i wanna make a bunny cake for my daughter she is turning 3 and her birthday happens to fall on easter this year!
Erin O.March 25, 2010
I love Cadbury eggs and coconut cake!
MarcyMarch 25, 2010
Coconut Creme Cake is a good Easter cake. A nice white coloring cleansing color for spring. It is delicious. It is time consuming, but well worth the effort. My favorite Easter food is actually Reese’s eggs. Who can resist those chocolatey peanutbuttery goodness?
Stephanie GrantMarch 25, 2010
I have to say my fave Easter dish is our dinner lamb!

I have some good memories of chow mein noodles, butterscotch, marshmallows, and jellybeans. My great aunt called them haystack cookies. I’ve passed them down to my kids. Of course they like to make them during the year sans jellybeans so I don’t know how well they qualify as an Easter treat.
laurenMarch 26, 2010
Au gratin or scalloped potatoes! We never make those dishes any other time of year!
JoseMonkeyMarch 26, 2010
HAM! Give me easter ham!
AmyMarch 26, 2010
My favorite Easter dish, going back to when I was a little girl, is a ham with honey glaze, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, and an easter cake for dessert. I enjoy carrying this tradition on and sharing it with my husband and 2 year old son.
chelseathebakerMarch 26, 2010
I’m with a lot of these commenters… deviled eggs for me, too!
Brandy in VaMarch 26, 2010
I think I’m a few minutes late….anyway, carrot cake. It’s just not Easter without carrot cake.
