Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker Giveaway! (closed)

Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker

I recently upgraded my waffle iron to the Presto Flip Side Belgian Waffle Maker, which was awarded a “best buy” recommendation from Cook’s Illustrated during a recent test of waffle makers. The FlipSide is easy to use and makes fantastic waffles – much better than my old iron, which cooked unevenly and had difficulty releasing the waffles. It is so easy to use that I’ve been making waffles more often than I ever have – and loving every syrup-covered bite.

To inspire you guys to up your breakfast game, I’m giving away a new Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker to one lucky ready! To enter, leave a comment on this post and tell me about your favorite way to eat waffles. Do you pile them high with whipped cream and berries, or slather on butter and maple syrup? The contest will run from now to Sunday, April 3rd at 11:59 PM, so be sure to get your entries in before then. The winner will be chosen from all the entries at random, so everyone has an equal opportunity to win. Don’t forget to leave your e-mail address on the comment form. It will not be made public, but this is how I will contact the winner. Good luck everyone!

And if you need a little waffle inspiration, check out these posts:

Update: Congrats to Caitlin, the winner of this giveaway! Comments are now closed, but stay tuned for future giveaways!

Made from scratch waffles, with butter in every little hole, and lots of grade B Vermont maple syrup – hard to beat that for breakfast. I am using a $5 Kmart waffle iron that I’ve had for close to 20 years. It has held up surprisingly well!

I love the liege waffles…plain… because they are already laced with the carmelized pearl sugar!

Drizzled with real maple syrup, but the waffle might have berries or nuts in it.

I love a classic waffle with lots of butter and maple syrup, but for a treat for my daughter I like to make “apple pie waffles” where I saute apples with butter and sugar and cinnamon to make a topping similar to apple pie and I like to top that with fresh cinnamon whipped cream. When the waffle and the apples are warm and the cream is ice cold it is just all around fantastic.

This looks wonderful! After my grandparents passed, we inherited their old waffle iron. I’m sure the Presto would be quite an improvement 😉

My favorite way to eat waffles is with peanut butter and real maple syrup. My husband goes for butter, then peanut butter and then Aunt Jemima syrup. (But of course if we go out for waffles, the sky is the limit because we know it’s a splurge and not an every weekend kind of thing!)

Thanks for the opportunity to make better waffles.

I like to get the outsides crispy then break it into four pieces. It build a little triangular house and put the fourth piece on the top as a roof. It keeps them from getting soggy. Then I grab one, rip a piece off and dip it in a small bowl of syrup.

I don’t have a waffle maker currently, so I’ve been eating an Eggo as I head out the door to get to work at 7:30 AM. My commute is a 20 minute walk, which can be unbearable in the winter. If I had a waffle maker, this routine would be infinitely more amazing and involve a waffle stacked with maple syrup, some PB, and banana slices!

My way is pretty pedestrian. I like mine heavily buttered, but my 10-year-old son likes to bust out the pb and j, maple syrup, whipped cream, powdered sugar, and–of course–okonomiyaki sauce. This last piece he eats with whatever breakfast meat I happen to make–could be bacon, turkey bacon, ham, or even leftover Swedish meatballs. The one thing he refuses to add on is cheese.

Our momma would always heat the maple syrup up on the stove, which made the butter melt faster and always seemed to taste more special 🙂
