I recently upgraded my waffle iron to the Presto Flip Side Belgian Waffle Maker, which was awarded a “best buy” recommendation from Cook’s Illustrated during a recent test of waffle makers. The FlipSide is easy to use and makes fantastic waffles – much better than my old iron, which cooked unevenly and had difficulty releasing the waffles. It is so easy to use that I’ve been making waffles more often than I ever have – and loving every syrup-covered bite.
To inspire you guys to up your breakfast game, I’m giving away a new Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker to one lucky ready! To enter, leave a comment on this post and tell me about your favorite way to eat waffles. Do you pile them high with whipped cream and berries, or slather on butter and maple syrup? The contest will run from now to Sunday, April 3rd at 11:59 PM, so be sure to get your entries in before then. The winner will be chosen from all the entries at random, so everyone has an equal opportunity to win. Don’t forget to leave your e-mail address on the comment form. It will not be made public, but this is how I will contact the winner. Good luck everyone!

April 1, 2016I usually use syrup, but whipped cream and berries is my favorite. I eat leftover waffles with peanut butter and honey, but only the leftovers. Not sure why, but they end up a bit drier so I treat them as a different experience.

April 1, 2016Still remember my first Belgian waffles at the 1965 World’s Fair in NYC. My brother and I discovered them at the Belgian Pavilion. They were piled high with strawberries and cream and cost us 99 cents. They were our lunch for tall five days we spent at the fair. Now I also love them with the wonderful Maple Syrup that our family makes in Vermont.
