Hot cross buns are an Easter tradition for many. The yeasted, spiced buns are decorated with a little cross as a symbol of Easter, though I know more than a few friends who simply consider them to be a yummy part of spring. Over on the Craftsy blog (it’s free!!), I’m sharing a recipe for my Easy, No-Knead Hot Cross Buns that will make a perfect addition to your Easter brunch table. The yeasted buns are slightly sweet, generously spiced and studded with moist raisins. The dough require no kneading and can even be made without the aid of a mixer. Once risen, the dough is divided into individual buns and baked. I confess that you will have to handle the dough a bit when you are dividing it into buns, but I promise that the process is very quick (and it still doesn’t require any kneading at all). These are absolutely delicious when they are fresh from the oven. I recommend serving them with plenty of butter and jam, though you can get creative with any toppings you might like.
