Homemade truffles are the perfect treat when you need a little indulgence in your life and these Dark Chocolate Champagne Truffles are even more decadent than most. I’m sharing the recipe for these wonderful truffles over on the Craftsy blog (it’s free!!!) right now, so you can make them for yourself, for loved ones or as an alternative to more commercial Easter candies this year. The velvety truffles have a rich dark chocolate flavor and almost melt in your mouth. They’re flavored with a champagne reduction, which actually helps to get some of the wonderful toasted nut and floral flavors from the champagne into the chocolate. You don’t need to use a top-shelf champagne for good results, but I do recommend  you use something that you like the flavor of. Serve these with more champagne (of course) when you’re ready to enjoy them. If you really want to make an over-the-top-dessert, you can also chop them up and stir them into ice cream for some outrageously decadent “chocolate chips.”
