The centerpiece of my holiday dinner on Christmas is usually a big ham, as opposed to the turkey that I make on Thanksgiving. I always pick out a ham large enough to ensure that I will have some leftovers, because leftover ham – especially my Brown Sugar & Whiskey Glazed Ham – makes a great addition to everything from soups to sandwiches. One particularly delicious way to use up leftover ham is in a Ham and Cheese Quiche and I’m sharing my recipe for this easy dish over on the Craftsy blog (it’s free!). The quiche combines ham and cheddar cheese in an eggy filling for a wonderfully savory tart. I highly recommend using one of my no-roll pie crust recipe, which will allow you to make the entire dish from scratch very quickly.
The quiche can be served for lunch or dinner as a main course when paired with a little bit of salad. You could also cut it into smaller slices and serve it as a first course or appetizer if you have some holiday guests still visiting to share the leftovers with!
