Last week, I shared a recipe for Cocout Beijinhos, a popular and easy-to-make Brazilian candy. Brazil is also known for another candy, the Brigadeiro. Both candies are made with sweetened condensed milk as a base. While the beijinhos are packed with lots of shredded coconut, the brigadeiros are made with chocolate and rolled in chocolate sprinkles. They look like classic chocolate truffles, but taste like rich caramel. I’m sharing a great recipe for Brigadeiros over on the Craftsy blog (it’s free!!), so head over and check it out. The candies only take a few minutes to prepare and the recipe makes about three dozen. I recommend making batches of both Brazilian candies and serving them up as you’re watching this year’s Rio Olympics!
