Blendtec Designer Series Blender giveaway! (closed)

Blendtec Designer Series Blender
I’ve really been enjoying working with my new Blendtec Designer Series Blender, as it is a cut above the blenders that I’ve used before and is good for a lot more than just mixing up fruit smoothies. The people at Blendtec were kind enough to provide an extra Blendtec Blender for me to giveaway to one lucky reader, so now is your chance to put your entry in for a chance to win!

Of course, I wish that I could give all of you new blenders, but since that’s not in the cards right now, you’ll have to leave a comment on this post stating your favorite use for a blender. Is it making blended coffee drinks? Pureed soups? Homemade peanut butter? Blender waffles? The winner of the contest will win one Designer Series Blender furnished by Blendtec. For an extra entry into the contest, you can sign up for the Blendtec recipe newsletter, which will deliver great (and sometimes surprising) blender recipes straight to your inbox.

The contest ends Sunday night at midnight (a.k.a. 12:01am on 05/06/2013) and one winner will be randomly selected from the entries. Don’t forget to fill in your e-mail on the comment form (it will not be made public), as that is how I will contact the winner, and good luck!

Click on “Continue Reading” and scroll to the bottom of the page  to access the comment form, or simply click on the comments section at the top of the post.

Update: Comments are now closed. Congrats to reader Johnny M on winning this amazing blender!

I just use a blender so much that it would be hard to focus on one thing. The bottom line is blenders are just much, much more efficient at purées than food processors are.

One thing I know I’ll be doing a lot of now that summer is approaching is gazpachos. For gazpacho I just throw veggies into the blender and whiz. It may be the easiest thing I ever “cook” but it lacks *nothing* in flavor and nothing is as satisfying when the temperatures climb.

I use my blender every day to make pureed veggie and fruit smoothies to kick off my day. My poor blender is many years old and simply chugs and churns. A new blender would be very welcome!

Just used my existing ghastly loud blender last night to make pureed cauliflower soup (it was OK). Whenever I run it there is the distinct smell of plastic and motor lubricant. It would be awesome to have a blender that doesn’t suck.

I’m a smoothie addict, and definitely need a stronger blender to power through the thick smoothies I like to eat with a spoon!

I broke my blender trying to make almond butter. sigh. Guess that blender was super old… the blades just died on me. It’d be nice to win a new blender 😀 more almond butter and cashew butters! 😀

I usually make fruit smoothies for breakfast weekday mornings. I can only make them one at a time because I only have a stick blender. My husband is frequently done before mine is ready to drink; being able to make two at a time would sure be nice.

It’s not very creative, but we mainly make smoothies. I also like to use the blender to mix up ice cream mixes, too, before I freeze them in the ice cream maker.

I would definitely use it to make smoothies. I have to use a Magic Bullet to make them now, and it would be so much easier to make them for the family in a big batch!

I buy fruit when it is on sale and freeze it. When I want to make smoothies, you don’t need to add a lot of ice, just frozen fruit, a little spinach or kale, flax seed and a little milk or yoghurt. A new Blentec blender would make them so much easier to make.

I probably use mine to make a quick pots de creme more than anything else.

My husband uses it break our home grown berries down before turning them into homemade wine.
