I have a couple of great items that have been sitting around my office, just begging for a great giveaway opportunity. In fact, I might have a few giveaways coming up! With the holidays upon us, I couldn’t think of a better time to start than now. This giveaway is for a box of holiday baking goodies from Nestle – including coupons for holiday baking essentials, such as Tollhouse chocolate chips (I have to recommend trying the Dark Chocolate & Mint Chips that I found at the market the other day), as well as some samples of their other products – and a pair of matching Adult and Child aprons that will help keep you clean during your holiday baking.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment naming your favorite holiday treat to bake and winner will be chosen at random when the contest closes. Be sure to include your e-mail address on the comment form so I can contact you if you win (e-mails will not be viewable on the site). This is a holiday weekend so you have until midnight PST on Sunday, November 28th to enter! Good luck – and great holiday baking!
Update: Contest is now closed! Thanks for entering!

November 24, 2010I am the resident baker at Christmas so I make anywhere from 6 to 10 different treats, as everyone has their fave. Everything from Shortbread and Hello Dolly Squares (sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, coconut & walnuts) to No-Bake Peanut Butter Squares, Walnut Crescents (dusted with powdered sugar) and a few sugar-free treats for the diabetics in the family. Luckily I love to bake!

November 24, 2010I love cookies! Last year, most of my family members requested cookies as Christmas gifts – chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin pecan, lemon ricotta, and biscotti. And that’s in addition to the iced butter cookies that I like to make for myself! I’m hoping they ask for the same things this year 🙂

November 24, 2010There are so many–hard to choose from one. I’m “required” to bring a pumpkin gooey cake to Thanksgiving but I think my favorite thing to make for Christmas is homemade caramels. I can’t say I like wrapping them but I feel like it is Christmas when I pull out that stained recipe card and make those caramels.
Stacy
November 24, 2010Decorated sugar cookies. I use my mom’s old recipe, but have upped the decorating standards with cookie glazes, luster dust and sanding sugars. When I was a kid, we just used the multicolored sprinkles, so my mom is amazed to see what I come up with.
