  • As a marshmallow fan, I am very tempted by the Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake that The Curvy Carrot whipped up. The drink is exactly what it sounds like: a creamy vanilla milkshake with toasted marshmallows in it. To toast a bunch of marshmallows at once, simply put them on a baking sheet and pop them under the broiler. Garnish the milkshake with more marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. Definitely a special occasion treat for the s’mores lover.
  • The name of Milk n Cookiezzz‘s PB and Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserve Bars might be a mouthful, but this take on peanut butter and jelly sure is a mouthful worth taking. The bars start with a peanut butter cookie dough, which is divided in half and pressed into a pan. The dough is topped with a generous layer of jelly – or Peach Pecan Preserves in this case – and topped with the rest of the peanut butter dough. Some toasted pecans on top finish off the bars and add a nice crisp contrast to the rest of the cookie
  • Not so Humble Pie‘s White Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies are light, crisp and loaded up with real white chocolate. The cookies are made with a lot of brown sugar and a fair amount of butter, which is what gives them their butterscotch flavor. A big pinch of salt takes the edge off of the sweetness and rounds out the flavors of the cookie. Golden brown sugar is going to be the best choice for this recipe, but it will still work out well with light or dark brown sugar. Use good quality white chocolate, made with real cocoa butter, to ensure that your cookies end up with just the right flavor and texture.
  • The Snickers Cupcakes from Annie’s Eats are a little bit over the top – and that is not a bad thing at all! These moist chocolate cupcakes are hollowed out and filled with homemade caramel and chopped up bits of Snickers bars. They are topped off with a caramel buttercream, then drizzled with more caramel sauce and decorated with more chopped up Snickers bars. Decadent and packed with chocolate and caramel, these are sure to be a hit and are a great way to put any leftover chocolates from Halloween (which is coming up) to good use.
  • Watermelon is a perfect summertime snack, as is Family Kitchen‘s Watermelon Bombe Ice Cream Cake. This cake is molded so that it looks like a watermelon when you slice into it. The look is achieved by spreading softened lime sherbert into a round bowl, then filling the lime dome with raspberry sherbert. Don’t forget to stir in some mini chocolate chips to act as “seeds” in your watermelon. The cake can be served as is or placed on a layer of ladyfingers or sponge cake to serve.
