Duff Goldman Cake Decorating Products

Duff Cake Decorating Products
It’s hard not to be inspired to bake when you’re watching a show like Ace of Cakes on the Food Network, where Duff Goldman and his team create edible works of art out of little more than cake, frosting and fondant. Duff now has a whole line of cake decorating equipment, from box cake mixes to texture tiles that give fondant a finished look, out for consumers to try some of his creations in their own kitchens. The Duff Goldman line is an interesting one because it really covers the cake-making process from start to finish. You can mix up cake batter, bake the cake, frost it, fondant it and get very creative with things like animal print cake tattoos on your way to producing your masterpiece.

The line is sold online and at craft stores, like Michaels. It definitely makes cake decorating seem a little more accessible and a little more fun, and will hopefully inspire more than a few fans to get into their kitchens and give funky cakes a try!

I LOVE Ace of Cakes. Well, any of the shows where they make kick booty cakes. How awesome that he’s come out with his own line to get others inspired to create.

I can’t watch Ace of Cakes anymore…Cake Boss only for me. Duff’s cakes might look nice, but they taste horrible. Seriously…it ruins it for me.

It’s no wonder his cakes taste horrible, I don’t even think the taste is a factor for them. It’s all about lights, spinning parts, fireworks, bigger, taller, and with MORE INEDIBLE PARTS! I hate that show.

I watch Ace of Cakes occasionally. I would NOT eat one of his cakes. His bakery seems like the most unsanitary place on earth, from what I’ve seen on the show! Disgusting! Thank goodness they seem to have created a separate area now for sawing wood and styrofoam…seriously they need an inspection from the health department.

As far as Duff goes, he seems like a really sweet and fun guy! He has really made a name for himself.

This new line of cake products seems rather trivial to me…like he is putting his name on something (anything) just for a few bucks. If you’re looking to be creative with your cakes, why would you buy a KIT to do it? I just don’t understand the appeal I guess.

I tried duffs new white fondant wasn’t even close to white in color (more of a cream color). It did taste better then some I’ve tried but nowhere close to white as advertised. Had to strip and redo a cake as bride didn’t like color at last minute.

I bought and baked one of Duff’s cake mixes today for a bithday. It is now to late to redue the cake!!!-it is the most tasteless cake mix I have ever made!!! I usually make cakes from scratch-but I saw this cake mix and it said Bakery quailty-what a joke. I had to make a fantastic frosting to save it. I will NEVER buy Dufff’s cake mixes again.
