Ice Cream and Cupcake Cookie Cutters

I found both of these cute Ice Cream Cone and Cupcake cookie cutter sets at Crate and Barrel just a few weeks ago, and was all set to write them up when I realized that they’re not on the store’s website! They’re probably just seasonal items with limited availability, and I’m not surprised that they went quickly! I really like the shape of both types of cutters; they have just enough detail to give them a really realistic look and provide you with lots of decorating options.

Even though I wasn’t able to find the exact set I bought online, I did find almost identical cookie cutters at Sur La Table. Their Ice Cream Cone and Cupcake cutters aren’t sold in sets, making them a little bit more expensive, and are made of copper. If you like to decorate cookies, these are two great shapes to add to your cookie cutter collection. Both will be big hits during the summer, but are easily versatile enough to go into year-round use if you change up the icing colors to something seasonal (red and green for Christmas, etc.). Ice cream cones and cupcakes in cookie form travel much better than their “real” counterparts, too.
