Backyard Bugs Cake Pan

Posted on

buggie cakes!I really don’t want to see bugs anywhere near one of my cake or cupcake creations. At least, I don’t want to see any live bugs near any of them. After seeing the adorable Backyard Bugs Cake Pan, I’m going to have relax my previously hard and fast rule because the bug-shaped cakelets are too cute to resist. The pan is made of heavy, nonstick cast aluminum and is shaped like a giant leaf, upon which the bug molds are perched. The pan makes a total of eight cakes, two each of bees, butterflies, ladybugs and dragonflies. It has a 5-cup capacity, which means that you should be able to use most cupcake recipes with this pan, provided that you extend the baking time by a few minutes to account for the increased size of the cups. Don’t forget to stock up on sprinkles and other decorations to make sure that your little cakes come out looking as cute as the sample cakes pictured here!
