One of the reasons that everyone looks forward to spring after a long, cold winter is that everything starts to explode with color this time of year, as plants come back to life and flowers burst open. The baking aisle happens to be brightening up with lots of colors, too, thanks to Pillsbury’s Funfetti® Bold Cupcake & Cake Mixes and Frostings. This new line is full of cakes that come in bright, fun colors that will add some flair to your baked goods.
The mixes are packaged in stand up pouches, rather than traditional cake mix boxes, and deliver 12 cupcakes or one layer of a layer cake. This is a great portion for smaller batch baking and if you want to mix and match the colors for a festive layer cake without messing with different dyes and worrying if your layers are going to be even. The coloring is already in the mix, so you just have to mix and bake.
To kick-off the spring baking season, I teamed up with Pillsbury to host a giveaway that includes lots of colorful goodies – like the products I used to make my March Madness Cupcakes – Â that will allow you to infuse some bold colors into any spring party or event!
The spring giveaway includes:
- Funfetti® Aqua Blue Cupcake and Cake Mix
- Funfetti Orange All Starâ„¢ Cupcake and Cake Mix
- Funfetti Neon Yellow Cupcake and Cake Mix
- Funfetti Vibrant Green Cupcake and Cake Mix
- Funfetti Orange All Starâ„¢ Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Colorful Star Shaped Candy Bits
- Funfetti Neon Yellow Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Multi-Colored Candy Bits
- $100 dollar Visa or American Express gift card
Total estimated giveaway value: $108.
To enter the contest, just leave a comment below and tell me what color mix appeals to you the most. Would you simply bake a batch of sky blue cupcakes? Would you make some Swirled Cupcakes to support your favorite sports team? The winner of the contest will be chosen at random, so no advantage will go towards one color preference or another! The contest ends at midnight Friday, May 2nd and one winner will be randomly selected from the entries at that time. Don’t forget to fill in your e-mail on the comment form (it will not be made public), as that is how I will contact the winner, and good luck to everyone!
And if you want to get some more great ideas on ways to “Go Bold” in your springtime baking, head over to Pillsbury Baking’s Facebook Page!
