This series of Farmers Market Necklaces from Uncommon Goods isn’t something that will come in handy in the kitchen, but they just might make good gifts – given that the holiday season is fast approaching – for loved ones who like to spend their time there. The necklaces are handmade in sterling silver by artist Lori Strickland and feature semiprecious stones to brighten them up, such as red jade and blue agate. The options are as bountiful as a real famers market stall and include Pomegranate, Blueberry, Grape, Sweet Corn, Garlic, Peach and Radish. If pressed, I would say that the garlic necklace, which is the plainest, is probably my least favorite because it has less of a visual impact than the others. The others really pop with a bit of color, so it’s just a matter of narrowing it down to what fruit or veggie you’d like to have more often than the others! If you can’t make up your mind entirely – like me – there is a very sweet charm bracelet, where you can have one or more of the charms attached to a lovely silver bracelet. This way, you can get the whole market effect in one piece of jewelry.
