Queen of Hearts Pan

Queen of Hearts Pan

I’m sure that I’ve said it before, but I’m a big fan of bakeware (and other kitchen gadgets) that works perfectly for seasonal celebrations and can still be used throughout the rest of the year without looking silly. Not that I’ll pass on the strictly seasonal things, of course. I’ll just take extra notice of products like Wilton‘s Queen of Hearts Pan. This bundt pan has a heart theme, with five towers of heart shapes rising up to form the bundt ring. The hearts are subtle enough to be appreciated year-round, and work exceptionally well for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries or other special occasions, so it’s the type of pan that you’re sure to get many uses out of.

The pan holds 10 cups of batter, which is standard for most bundt pans. It’s nonstick, and because of the way that the heart layers are arranged, it’s pretty easy to get a cake out of the pan without having to worry about loosing pieces of cake to especially sticky corners. I’d finish this off with a dusting of powdered sugar, or leave it plain to appreciate the detail of the pan itself, but the simple heart shapes will still come through if you opt to finish the cake with a satiny chocolate glaze.
