Starbucks and Hershey’s have recently come togetherto put out a new line of coffee-flavored, Starbucks branded chocolates, which should be available in stores in just a few months. Starbucks currently sells a line of chocolates in their stores, but these new items will be sold at grocery stores, much like the bottled frappuccinos and coffee drinks are now. The companies are planning a lineup that includes chocolate bars, truffles and chocolate-covered coffee beans.
The first item expected to hit stores is a premium, Starbucks-brand hot chocolate. The companies have not yet confirmed that the drink will be a powdered mix, but since Starbucks produces its other bottled beverages with Pepsi, a powder seems likely. This is good news for fans of the Starbucks Mocha Powder -Â which was (very unfortunately) discontinued as a retail item last year – as there is at least a chance that it will live up to the original recipe.
