Summer Kickoff: Frozen Desserts Cookbook Trio Giveaway!! (closed)

Summer Kickoff: Frozen Desserts Cookbook Trio Giveaway!!

As regular readers will know, I currently have three amazing cookbooks out that are dedicated to frozen desserts: How to Make Ice Cream, How To Make Frozen Yogurt and Making Vegan Frozen Treats. Each one of these books is designed to give you an in-depth look at the techniques needed to make these refreshing recipes in your own kitchen – and make better versions than you can buy at your local grocery store!

The books were released last year, but good recipes for frozen desserts never go out of season. To celebrate the book release last year, I gave away a set of these books. This year, I’m keeping the traditional alive by giving away two gift packs of books, one to each of three lucky readers, to kick off the start of summer. Each pack will include copies of each of these three books, so you’ll be all set for the summer ice cream/fro yo/non-dairy frozen dessert season. To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favorite ice cream flavor is. The contest will run until 11:59 PM PST on Tuesday, July 5th, so you have plenty of time to get your entries in before then. Be sure to leave your e-mail in the form (it will not be published), as that is how I will contact the winners. The winners will be chosen at random, so your chances of winning are just as good if you like strawberry more than classic vanilla or Coffee Almond Fudge.

If you can’t wait for the contest, you can order copies of each of these books over at Amazon and at other fine retailers that have a well-stocked frozen dessert section! How to Make Frozen Yogurt features more than 50 recipes for tangy, premium frozen yogurt. The flavors are so varied that you won’t need to run down to the fro-yo shop to get your fix, and they all start with a real yogurt base. How to Make Ice Cream covers all the main styles of ice cream – French, Philadelphia and no-churn – and you will walk away with great base recipes that can be used for any flavor you can come up with. Making Vegan Frozen Treats focus on dairy- and egg-free recipes, using both fruit-based ice creams and a variety of nondairy milks. This book also includes vegan baked goods, so you can make ice cream cakes and sandwiches!

My fave is cookies and cream. The creamy richness of vanilla ice cream with crunchy Oreo bits is the best.

If there’s multiple comments from me, it’s because I received an error message the first time around – so I’m not sure if my comment saved. Hope that doesn’t disqualify me! Thank you for hosting this giveaway.

Hard to pick a favorite. It’s a tie between coffee and mint chocolate chip. But not together because ick.

Strawberry! If they have something tarter like lemon or lime, I’d go for it, though!

I like a good vanilla. If it has vanilla beans in it, then that’s even better!

I’m a cookie dough fan if I’m buying it and a chocolate chip fan if I’m making it. (Homemade strawberry also is excellent.)

Black Raspberry Chip, which is the signature flavor from Cincinnati’s Graeter’s Ice Cream. It has huge chunks of their homemade dark chocolate; simply the best!

My favorite IS coffee almond fudge. My daughter who is in her late 30’s still remembers me always ordering Jamoca almond fudge at Baskin Robbins.
