Choco Chip Cookie Oreos, reviewed

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if Oreo cookies and chocolate chip cookies came together, your dream has been realized. Nabisco just introduced limited edition Choco Chip Cookie Oreos, so you can head to your local grocery store (which is where I found them) and pick up a package to find out for yourself. I personally haven’t spent much time wondering what a hybrid of these two cookies would be like, but I do like both Oreos and chocolate chip cookies, so a hybrid sounded like a great idea to me.

The wafers are the vanilla Oreo cookie base, but are studded with little chocolate chips. They’re delicious on their own and have a nice vanilla flavor. The cookies are generously stuffed with a cream filling that tastes like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and is also studded with little bits of chocolate. I was very surprised that these are actually chocolate chip cookie flavored, rather than simply regular vanilla Oreos with chocolate chips added, and they hit the nail on the head as far as the flavor of the cookie does. They really exceeded my expectations and I found them to be quite addictive, especially when paired with a glass of milk.

For me, these are destined to end up in a batch of ice cream that is some sort of hybrid between cookies n’ cream and chocolate chip cookie dough. And I already know it will be delicious.
