Conversation hearts are a Valentine’s Day tradition and a sweet way to send someone you love a little message. I’ve always had a soft spot for these little candy hearts and use them for everything from Valentine’s Day garnishes to an ingredient in a very unusual Valentine’s Day rum. If you’re also a fan of this classic holiday candy, the Conversation Heart Silicone Mold from Wilton will immediately have a lot of appeal.
The silicone pan has twelve heart-shaped cavities and each one is stamped with a simple word or phrase that is similar to the messages you would find on real conversation hearts. There are six messages and each appears twice: BFF, XO, LOL, HUG, LUV and GR8. While there is more room on these than the candy hearts, the large letters make it easy to read the messages on your finished treats. Each cavity holds about the same amount of batter as a standard muffin cup, so you can use the pan to bake muffins, mini cakes or brownies. If you want a no-bake treat, consider making a batch of rice krispy treats or Jello in the pan. You can even make large ice cubes! The silicone is nonstick so anything that you make will pop out easily when you’re done. The mold is oven safe to 500F and dishwasher safe.
