  • My Kitchen Craze‘s Caramel Almond Biscotti are a delicious treat to serve with coffee for breakfast or dessert. with While many biscotti recipes call for almond meal, this particular one uses almond paste, which gives the cookies a great almond flavor and gives them a slightly denser texture than some other biscotti. The cookies are studded with caramel bits and drizzled with a bit of chocolate, both flavors pairing well with the almond cookie base and with the coffee that the cookies should be paired with.
  • Cream puffs are a surprisingly versatile pastry because they can be flavored with so many different things, not just whipped cream. Evil Shenanigans baked up some Strawberry Orange Cream Puffs that are a great example of this fact. These cream puffs are flavored with orange zest and filled with a combination of vanilla pastry cream and fresh strawberries. The resulting puffs are light and summery, perfect for entertaining on a warm night.
  • The Blonde Chef whipped up a batch of Stuffed French Toast that is sure to be a hit at your next brunch. The recipe starts with thick-cut bread, in which a slit is cut to create a pocket. The pocket is filled with creme fraiche and sweet blackberry jam – though other types of jam can be used – before the bread is soaked in an egg mixture and cooked on a griddle. Be sure to cook this french toast over low heat so that it has time to cook all the way through without burning the exterior!
  • If you like chai tea, Food Fanatic‘s Chai Tea French Toast is worth a little extra consideration. Like most french toast, this version starts with a mixture of milk and eggs that thick, soft slices of texas toast are soaked in. The milk is infused with real chai tea before adding the bread or eggs, giving it a deep and spicy chai flavor without adding too many straight spices to the mixture. Be sure to choose a strongly flavored tea, or double the amount used to ensure you get enough flavor in your finished toast.
