Our refrigerators are an integral part of our everyday lives and you can get them with all kinds of functions. Basic refrigerators are going to keep your cold foods cold and your frozen foods frozen, while other refrigerators are going to produce hot water, cold water and ice at the touch of a button. GE has recently introduced a brand new fridge feature that is perfect for coffee lovers: a built in Keurig. The new feature is a part of GE’s Cafe Series of appliances, a system which already offered instant hot water as an option for refrigerators. The coffee system allows you to slip in an individual coffee pod and the fridge will do the rest of the work for you. You can even preset a time for your coffee to brew automatically, so it is ready and waiting for you in the morning when you wake up. Now that is service!
The part of the fridge the contains the pod will be easy to clean and any drips will be caught in the same tray that catches drips for water. The shelf underneath the dispenser is wide enough to hold most coffee cups, though you might not be able to brew directly into a tall traveler mug. These fridges will be available for purchase later this year anywhere GE Cafe appliances are currently sold. The price tag is said to be around $3,300
