Baking Bites for Craftsy: Use Leftover Eggnog in Bread Pudding

Eggnog Bread Pudding
I love a glass of eggnog, whether it is homemade or storebought, served straight or spiked with rum, during the holidays. It is one of those seasonal treats that you really only get to enjoy this time of year. If you happen to have leftover eggnog in your refrigerator this weekend, put it to good use in a delicious Homemade Eggnog Bread Pudding! I whipped up this recipe for the Craftsy blog (it’s free!) using my favorite ‘nog. The pudding is rich and custardy, with the same prominent vanilla and nutmeg flavors that you’ll find in truly delicious eggnog. The recipe is very family-friendly and doesn’t include any alcohol, however you could add a splash of rum or brandy to your batch to give it an extra hint of holiday spirit, if you wish.

If you are looking for other ways to use up leftover eggnog, you can also try my Eggnog Red Velvet Cupcakes or my addictive Eggnog Pound Cake

oh man i made this tonight for people we had over for NYE and it was SO GOOD! thanks! i never knew bread pudding was so easy! (also i used some bread that was about to go stale-as good bread will do so shortly! so it was a great use for it!) though i will admit to never having “left over” egg nog! i keep ice cubes of it in the freezer all year for chai tea! it is my favorite!
