Neat Eats Flower Cupcakes
Cupcakes are already cute by default and that is exactly why people like them. It’s possible to make them cuter by adding fancy frosting, sprinkles or other toppers to a batch of cupcakes, but it can be difficult to move them to a new level of cuteness beyond that. Unless, of course, you happen to have the Neat Eats Flower Cupcakes set at home. This set – which should appeal to kids having a garden party or a fun tea time, or their food blogging parents – includes silicone cupcake bases that are shaped like flower pots and green, flower-topped forks that can be used to both eat and accessorize the cupcake. They’re sold in sets of two, but you can pick up multiple sets for a big party or just use these as the centerpiece for a larger cupcake display using traditional cupcakes to fill in the rest.

The best way to decorate cupcakes for these molds is by making edible “dirt.” Edible dirt is made by crumbling up chocolate cake into fine crumbs and pressing them onto the top of a chocolate-frosted cupcake. The chocolate cake crumbs look like moist earth and will give the flower pots a lot of character, in addition to creating the perfect environment for “planting” those flower-topped forks before serving.

This is such a cute idea! I’ve always wanted to make cupcakes in this form but never new just where to get the materials. Thanks!
