Belkin Cabinet Tablet Mount giveaway! (closed)

Belkin Cabinet Tablet Mount
If you’ve brought your tablet into the kitchen, chances are good that you’ve gotten a smudge of batter, a bit of dough or a dusting of flour on it. I recently picked up a nifty Belkin Cabinet Tablet Mount and found that keeping my iPad up off the counter keeps it much cleaner – and it is much easier to read when it is up at eye level. Since I know that I’m not the only who likes to keep my tablet handy in the kitchen, I decided to give away a Belkin Cabinet Tablet Mount! The easy-to-use mount adjusts to fit just about any kitchen cabinet set up and it folds flat for easy storage.  I use mine with an iPad, but the mount will fit a variety of different tablet sizes and styles. It will even work with a case in place (unless your case is extra thick), which means that you don’t need to do anything special to use this in your kitchen.

To enter the contest, just leave a comment below telling me what you use your tablet for – or what you would like to use it for – in the kitchen. I use mine to make it easy to reference recipes from my favorite food blogs and flip through digital cookbooks, but you could use it to watch tv shows or even cat videos on YouTube while you’re doing some baking. The possibilities are endless! The contest ends Friday night at midnight (a.k.a. 12:01am on 03/02/2013)  and one winner will be randomly selected from the entries. Don’t forget to fill in your e-mail on the comment form (it will not be made public), as that is how I will contact the winner, and good luck!

Update: This contest is now closed. The winner will be announced shortly. Thanks to everyone for participating!

  9. I use my tablet to pull recipes off Pinterest and other sites. I have no digital cookbooks but I am beginning to come across some that really have caught my interest. Tablet takes up so much less space on counter and I definitely have very little counter.

  10. I use my iPad all the time in the kitchen for recipes. I either am on a website using a recipe or refering to one that I found somewhere and have in my photos. I sometimes listen to music too

  16. I use mine for recipes, looking up conversions or substitutions, pulling up photos/videos of cooking techniques that are new to me, or simply checking emails/blog reader while waiting for the next step. The main problem is keeping my screen clean when my hands are covered in flour!

  20. John Richardson-Lauve

Email, recipes, videos, music and generally everything. Technology works everywhere!

  21. I’d love to pull up my favorite blog recipes, cooking apps, Pinterest…but I have a feeling I’d also end up watching HBOGo while I cook, too!

  23. I bake and I bake and I bake. I would truly love to have this device easily accessible in my kitchen

  24. Love to reference cookbooks on iBooks on my iPad :)

  25. I keep all my recipes in a database on the web. I can access it from anywhere, but it’s so convenient to pull up the recipes on my tablet and jam to some music while I bake!

  26. I will be able to listen to my podcasts while I’m cooking and flipping through the recipe at the same time.

  27. oh my gosh, I SO need this for referencing all my recipes! I currently put my ipad on top of the coffee machine and I can’t tell you how many ‘almost accidents’ i’ve had doing that!

  28. I could actually follow a recipe and not have to print it out! No more shuffling through printouts searching for the recipe I want either.

  29. I bought my tablet to use solely as a cookbook, but have found that I use it for everything from preparing work presentations to wasting time with soduko and Google Reader.

  30. The New ipad….soon to be getting one!

  31. I use my IPad for recipes, internet searches, emails and operating my Sonos digital system.

  32. I love using my tablet to access saved recipes while I’m in the kitchen. Sure beats a pile of disorganized print outs. Something like this bracket would be awesome since I’m always worried that my tablet is too close to the burners or too precariously balanced on a cabinet shelf, right over the stove.

  33. My iPad follows me just about everywhere at home. It’s been in the kitchen though admittedly not in the middle of baking due to being careful about it getting messed up but it has followed me in the kitchen for a quick recipe that’s easy to make without printing (and saves some paper). It’s my go-to for reference on substitutions, weights on ingredients, cake pan cup sizes, measurements…I could go on and on. Great giveaway!

  34. I use my tablet for cooking recipes I find online instead of printing them out!

  35. I use it all the time to look up recipes online and cook with it to avoid having to print out loads of recipes.

  36. Love this idea, I would use it to watch videos and browse thru recipes in the kitchen. Hate bending over to look on the counter, plus I keep getting random ingredients on it!

  37. I use my iPad to reference recipes, rather than waste paper and print them out. Such a useful invention!

  38. I use mine for recipes, driving directions, reading email and facetime.

  39. I would use that in the kitchen to keep the tablet up off the counter while I try out new recipes.

  40. Recipes of course. Or if I’m cooking off the top of my head, I use it to provide my cooking soundtrack.

  41. I have a PDF cookbook of family recipes and recipes I have created. My IPad is always in the kitchen for me to look at that cookbook

  42. I use my iPad in the kitchen for baking and cooking recipes I find irresistible when reading all my food blogs!

  43. This would be so perfect for me! I love wathing TedTalks while I cook and I have the iPad app for it so a cabinet mount would make it so much easier (and safer for my iPad as it won’t be on the messy counter)!

  44. This would go to my daughter-in-law for her iPad along with some of my favorite recipes.

  45. I use my iPad daily to pull up recipes and keep an ongoing grocery list so I don’t forget items when I go to the store

  46. I use my Kindle fire to display recipes and currently just prop it up against the wall. This would be so useful for displaying my Kindle!

  47. Looking at the recipe, mostly, but also playing music. I mostly listen to Kanye while I bake! :-)

  48. I love to use my IPad to Skype my son who is away at college and we cook together. He loves cooking and trying new things and is always asking for pointers. Cooking together this way allows us to stay close even though he is 6 hours away. Mounting it would be so helpful 🍵

  49. I would love to be able to use my tablet in the kitchen to help me learn how to cook! And keep me entertained while waiting for the baked goods to cool!

  50. I would love to have a tablet in the kitchen for recipes, cake decorating inspiration and music!
