Rev-A-Shelf Mixer Lift

Stand mixers are a fairly bulky, as kitchen gadgets go, and they take up a lot of countertop real estate. I don’t mind giving up a little counter space because my mixer is one appliance that I use just about every day. But when you’re not using yours every day, or have limited counter space, you might not want to make space for the stand mixer to sit out – and you might not be able to put it away because most cabinets just aren’t made to hold something that big easily. One very cool space-saving solotion is the Rev-A-Shelf Mixer Lift.
The lift is a heavy duty shelf that uses two tension springs to rotate up to counter height from underneath the counter. It locks into place in the open position at counter height and has a load bearing capacity of 60 lbs. The arm and accompanying platform are easily strong enough to support a heavy duty stand mixer, as well as any number of other kitchen appliances that you might want to tuck away if you don’t have a stand mixer. Having the ability to to swing such a large appliance out of the way so easily can really help reduce counter top clutter. You will need to make some under-the-counter space in a cabinet top have room to install the Rev-A-Shelf, but in most kitchens (especially older ones that have some less useful fixed-shelf cabinets that you might not mind taking out) it isn’t too hard to find a space that will work.
