I was at Hallmark the other day picking up Christmas cards, and I stopped to peruse their holiday ornament selection. Over the past couple of years, the store has been adding more foodie-themed ornaments to their collection and this year they have the perfect one for bakers: a miniature stand mixer! The ornament, which is dated 2010, is bright red and has a cute retro look to it. The mixer doesn’t have an movable parts, but it’s not difficult to picture the little paddle attachment mixing up a batch of cookie dough. The ornament is called the Merry Mixer, and I picked two up while I was there, one for my Christmas tree and one to give away to a lucky reader!

My favorite recent gift though was the all-clad waffle maker I gave my mom for her birthday this year. She had a really old one that died a few years back and was living in a world without waffles!!
