Baking Bites Easter Giveaway!

Baking Bites Easter Giveaway

Easter is right around the corner, and holidays are such a great time for giveaways that I can’t resist doing one with an Easter theme to it. I’m giving away Wilton’s 3D Bunny Cake Pan and a set of oh-so-cute jellybean potholders. To win, simply leave a comment that mentions your favorite Easter dish (or other spring holiday dish if you don’t celebrate Easter) below! A winner will be selected randomly from the comments below and entries will close at 12 noon (PST) on Friday, March 26th. This leaves plenty of time for the pan to arrive before Easter so you can use it next weekend! Be sure to leave your e-mail address in the comment form (not in your comment) so that I can contact the winner for a mailing address.

There is a little bit of small print with this prize and that is the fact that this pan is not brand new and has been used by me a few times to test it out and bake up an Easter bunny cake. A post about the bunny cake will be coming up in the next day or two and you can double your chances of winning by looking out for that post and commenting on it, too. The cake pan will be all cleaned up and back in it’s box for mailing, ready to use when it arrives at your door.

And as for my favorite Easter dish? It’s hard to choose just one thing, but if pressed I’d have to say that deviled eggs are near the top of the list, followed by Peeps Cupcakes, which are a current favorite. Peep S’mores are very tasty, too, but I’d be hard pressed to call them an actual dish!

Update: The contest is now closed! Thanks for playing everyone. I can’t wait for Easter with all these great food ideas!

I saw this amazing scalloped pineapple recipe that I’ve been dying to make. So… that’s what I’m hoping for this year. 🙂

I could make it in BUNNY SHAPE. 🙂

Not necessarily a dish, but Cadbury Creme Eggs. Love love love them, and can only get them this time of year.

My obvious choice would have to be my best friend’s deviled eggs with a bacon topping…and my second choice would have to be bacon…pretty much anything with bacon is a winner 😀

My grandmother always made a layered dessert with graham crackers, bananas and a milk/powdered sugar glaze. Always my favorite!

Deviled eggs, Cadbury eggs or one of my favorite cakes… Bake an Angel food cake in a 11×13 dish, then once it cools poke a bunch of holes in it with tooth picks and then make up some strawberry jello and pour it over the cake and place cut up strawberries on top so that they will be inside the jello. Let the jello set and then top with whip cream. Yummmo!

Honestly, it’s Cadbury Creme Eggs, but let’s just say it’s the honeybaked ham.

I don’t know if it’s really an Easter food or not, but my Mama always makes pound cake. It’s an old family recipe that I personally request every year.

My favorite thing to make is Carrot Cake during Easter. I love doing variations of it too, like carrot cake cheesecake, carrot cake cookies, etc. Second favorite thing is coconut cream pie! Yum!

My favorite would be asparagus, prepared any way. Just as long as there is plenty of asparagus. A Cadbury Creme Egg for dessert will be fine.

I suppose jelly beans don’t count as a “dish”, huh? I love Challah bread and miss the days when my uncle would make it for Easter.

How do you choose just one? Ham smothered in mustard, brown sugar garlic mix that has been cooked all day so that it falls apart like a roast. Although I do indulge in one original cadbury egg every year. I wold love this pan i wanna make a bunny cake for my daughter she is turning 3 and her birthday happens to fall on easter this year!

Coconut Creme Cake is a good Easter cake. A nice white coloring cleansing color for spring. It is delicious. It is time consuming, but well worth the effort. My favorite Easter food is actually Reese’s eggs. Who can resist those chocolatey peanutbuttery goodness?

I have some good memories of chow mein noodles, butterscotch, marshmallows, and jellybeans. My great aunt called them haystack cookies. I’ve passed them down to my kids. Of course they like to make them during the year sans jellybeans so I don’t know how well they qualify as an Easter treat.

My favorite Easter dish, going back to when I was a little girl, is a ham with honey glaze, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, and an easter cake for dessert. I enjoy carrying this tradition on and sharing it with my husband and 2 year old son.

I think I’m a few minutes late….anyway, carrot cake. It’s just not Easter without carrot cake.
