A Measuring Gaggle

A Measuring Gaggle

When I buy measuring cups, I always go for something functional rather than something funky and I usually opt for sets that are on sale somewhere – largely because I have a hard time resisting kitchen stuff I like when it’s on sale. There are times when I wish I weren’t so practical, however. This is the exact feeling that struck me when I saw the ridiculously cute measuring cups mentioned on Bittersweet recently. The cups measure out dry ingredients in the typical amounts – 1/4 cup through 1 cup – are shaped like geese, with handles that stretch up vertically into little avian heads. Not only is the design cute, but it is actually quite functional because the geese are designed to nest into one another, just as more conventional measuring sets are. You can find the Measuring Gaggleat Anthropologie. The other item mentioned in Bittersweet’s post was a similarly designed set of measuring spoons, only these had a giraffe pattern instead of a goose theme. Their handles, too, stretch upwards and the spoons nest together. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have this particular Giraffe Family setavailable online at Anthropologie anymore, but take a peek into a nearby store if you’re interested in trying to track down a set. I know I will be stopping by!

Oh, too cute. I love it, but like you, I tend to just buy whatever’s on sale.

I love those. Thankfully Anthropologie runs decent sales on their home stuff in their stores. I’m going to watch for that set!

This is so cute 😀 I have a set of magnetic measuring spoons (a Christmas gift from a close friend), I think these things aren’t cheap, but boy are they worth it!

OH MY GOODNESS! We had the geese set growing up, I believe my step mom said they were from the 70’s? But I think that is one reason why I got interested in baking because I thought they were so neat. I didn’t know anyone made them. I HAVE to get them.

    Thanks for posting them!

I just bought the measuring spoons on a step ladder from a yard sale. I was hoping to find out some info on them but this is the only thing I found that was similar. Does anybody have any information about these adorable items? I don’t even cook, I just thought they were cute
