You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get good, quality cookware that will perform well time and time again (I know I don’t). But if you want to spend a lot – and I mean a lot – than the new diamond encrusted potfrom the German cookware maker, Fissler, just might be what you’re looking for. Their newest premium saucepan uses almost 1 kg (2.2 pounds) of solid gold on the handles and logo plate, and is studded with over 200 individual diamonds.
Each one – and yes, there will be more than one available – will be meticulously handcrafted in Germany and will be priced at £100,000 (approx. $198,350). They will be sold at Harrods, in the UK, from Sept 10th to Oct 20th.
No word yet on whether this saucepan will be the first of a series of gold and diamond cookware but, beauty aside, I shudder to think of what an entire collection might cost.
