Measuring spoons get groovy

Posted By Nicole On May 2, 2007 @ 6:44 am In Gear and Gadgets | 3 Comments

I have several sets of measuring spoons, in both plastic and metal. I also have several spoons that have managed to detach themselves from the rest of their sets and now float freely around the kitchen. They’re not the most exciting kitchen tool, but they are certainly vital to most culinary tasks – especially when you’re into baking. It looks like some designers want to bring some interest into the utensil drawer by redesigning the plain, functional look of measuring spoons.

Anthropologie has three particularly interesting sets: a mod measuring set, pinch & dash measuring spoons (pictured from left and right, above), and lovin’ spoonful measuring set. My personal favorite of the three is the mod set for its shape, but it’s hard to resist the colors of the second set. Colorful cupcakes deserve colorful implements, right?
